 I have a black 1200 for sale.
It is not restored, just lightly refreshed.
New paint on bodywork
New 530 'O' ring chain and sprockets
New battery
Recent Bridgestone BT45 tyres
Brake calipers overhauled
New front brake master cylinder
Restored instruments
New float valves in carbs
Carbs ultrasonic cleaned
Koni shocks
New chrome
 
Around 50,000km
UK documents
The bike is in Spain but I can deliver at cost
5000 euros

 Here are some more photos of the finished bike.
New front brake master cylinder, new horns and new indicators and stems.
The engine is very quiet, no smoke from the exhaust and it runs well.
I may end up putting it on ebay but it will be at a higher price to reflect the work done and condition it is in.

 It is not a full restoration, more a refreshing of the basic cycle parts.

I did not fully restore it as I have 3 other Laverda triples up for sale and as they are slow to sell I felt it was not worth putting many more thousands of euros into this one.

I am surprised it has not sold quickly, as it is an absolute bargain at this price.

I have another 2 Laverdas to finish and then I think I will stop restoring Laverdas. No one wants to pay for quality Laverda restorations at the moment.

We had a debate some times ago on this forum about the prices asked for Laverdas. Although they usually cost less than some other brands (that are not better) and although many try to get a lot of money of them (much more than your own prices that are reasonable), they simply don't sell. There is usually a big difference between the asked price and the final arrangement... Fact is that the economical crash is real too, that is one of the reasons I'm going on with my job here and don't come back to France as soon as expected...
Good luck for your sales though!

 I have sold a few restored triples for a good price at the end of last year and the start of this year.
None of my sales include my labour charge. It is done as a labour of love as I try to bring another Laverda back from the dead.

It would be easier, cheaper and quicker just to buy and sell for a few hundred euros profit each time, but that is not really my aim.

At the end of the day it is a pleasant hobby for me as I will never get rich doing it, not my aim anyway.

I have always noticed that your prices are very reasonable and that, knowing the costs of parts and restoration, surely no real profit was made. This labour of love is all your honor in the current crazy world!

If I can do it then anyone can do it.
The more people understand their Laverdas then the future looks bright in Laverdaland.
Continued spares supply, enough people wanting to work on, design, manufacture, service etc.
If we don't use them then ultimately we lose them.

 Richard Slater is late 60s too.
It is inevitable that the old guard will retire but it makes opportunities for someone to come in and grow a business based in increasing interest (and value) in Laverdas.
In terms of engineering we have Redax in Australia, Laverda Scozia in the UK, Van Dijk in Holland.
We still have OCT and Laverda Paradies in Germany for engine work and spares.
There are some shops in Italy but I am not familiar with them (Ricardo Oro for one).
Are there any French shops or engineering centres specialising in Laverda?

si j'ai bien compris elle est en papier anglais , quelqu'un connait les formalités et le côut pour faire une carte grise française , galère ou pas ? y'a une taxe de douane a rajouter ?

Hi Grant, there is a question about importing the bike to France, do you know if UK is considered as a european country regarding the customs rules? In other terms, what money has to be spent to import an english bike imported to France? Maybe you know that?
